Career Summary

Karen is a highly experienced captive manager with over 30 years in the insurance industry. She joined Thomas Miller in August 2021, bringing with her a deep understanding of the sector and a genuine passion for supporting clients.

Before joining Thomas Miller, Karen spent many years working with three international insurance management firms on the Isle of Man. Throughout her career, she has held Director positions across a variety of organisations, including insurance management companies, captive insurance companies and a PCC company. These roles have shaped her broad perspective and her approachable, solutions focused style.

Over the years, Karen has taken on a wide range of roles, Head of Insurance, Director of Client Services, Head of Operations and Client Executive, giving her a genuinely well rounded understanding of what clients need and how to deliver it smoothly.

An ACII qualified professional and Chartered Insurer, Karen combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative, people centred approach. She works with a diverse portfolio of industries and specialises in managing captive insurance companies for multinational clients, always aiming to provide the best possible service.
