Career Summary

Karen joined Thomas Miller in April 2016 and has over a decade of experience within the company. She has served as Head of Insurance for the past two years.

Karen holds the CII Diploma and began her career in broking before specialising in captive insurance. She has extensive experience managing a wide range of captive structures, from small broker owned captives and mutuals to multinational PLC owned entities across diverse sectors.  She was involved in the establishment of the Isle of Man’s first Insurance Special Purpose Vehicle (ISPV) and has previously overseen Thomas Miller’s own insurance programme, giving her first-hand insight into the commercial challenges faced by corporations operating in hard insurance markets.
